Logansport High School teacher Chunmei Guan was awarded the 2023 Teacher of the Year by the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association at their Fall Meeting in November 2023. She is a past President of the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association and a prior Chinese teacher and Academic Affairs Director of the Tri-State Chinese Culture Association School in the Evansville, Indiana area. She earned BA and MA degrees from Jilin University, located in Changchun city, in Jilin province, China. Her deep cultural knowledge and incredible enthusiasm for teaching are truly inspiring.
