The North and South Carolina Association for Bilingual Education (CarABE), announces its inaugural event. It is an affiliate of the National Association for Bilingual Education. Across the two states, there has been a tremendous increase in bilingual students, families, and bilingual education programs. At this year’s Southeast Regional TESOL Conference (SETESOL) the organizers are hosting a special event with keynote speaker (Dr. Tatyana Kleyn), panels, and membership networking. North Carolina State Liaison Dr. Janis Antonek received a fellowship from the U.S. State Department Fulbright-Hays Program to join a group of educators for a study abroad trip to Morocco this summer.  She will report back on her visit when she returns.
